
ULRICH BOSER
CEO
Ulrich Boser is a founder, writer, and researcher. He is the CEO of The Learning Agency, one of the nation’s leading education innovation organizations. Under his leadership, The Learning Agency developed and executes the world’s largest ed tech competition, among many other things.
Boser’s research and writing have shaped national conversation on education. His work has been featured everywhere from the front page of USA Today to The Tonight Show. He has advised many foundations, governments, and companies on education issues, and his research has directly influenced federal legislation aimed at optimizing school spending.
He is the author of Learn Better, a widely acclaimed book on the science of learning. Named “the best science book of the year” by Amazon, Learn Better has been featured in outlets such as Wired, Slate, Vox, Fast Company, and The Atlantic.
Boser has written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, among others. He is a recipient of the Education Writers Association award and has been an Arthur F. Burns Fellow. His expertise has been featured on CNN, NPR, and NBC Nightly News.
Earlier in his career, Boser was a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. He also worked as a contributing editor for U.S. News and World Report and as a researcher for the newspaper Education Week. His career has also included stints as a publisher, English language instructor, and door-to-door canvasser. He graduated from Dartmouth College with honors.
