The Learning Agency’s Educator Insight Panel
Teachers are the front-line implementers of education policy and innovation. They experience firsthand the challenges and joys of today’s classrooms, making them invaluable sources of practical, real-world insights. Whether you’re looking to develop new educational tools, understand a program’s effectiveness, or aim to improve classroom experiences, consulting teachers ensures that your solutions are rooted in the needs of schools and classrooms.
The Learning Agency’s Teacher Insight Panel offers a unique opportunity for researchers, entrepreneurs, and education innovators to learn directly from K-12 educators across the country. Our panel consists of experienced teachers serving diverse geographic and socio-economic backgrounds. Through custom-developed surveys, focus groups, interviews, and polls, you can gather real-time feedback on what’s working, what’s not, and what innovations are truly needed in schools today.
Why Survey Teachers?
Teachers offer a unique vantage point for identifying systemic issues and emerging trends that can drive the future of education. By surveying teachers, you’re not just gathering opinions, you’re shaping the next generation of educational solutions, driving evidence-based decision-making, and ensuring that new products and policies will work where it matters most: the classroom.
Teachers experience every facet of the education system. From implementing federal and state policies to assessing commercial curriculums to seeing how societal shifts impact learning, teachers see – and do – it all. They have firsthand knowledge of what works, what doesn’t, and where improvements are needed. For entrepreneurs, this can mean a successful product launch. For policymakers, teachers can offer guidance rooted in real experiences. For researchers, teachers open doors to new understandings of how educational tools and strategies affect student achievement.
We Have the Expertise to Help
The Learning Agency’s deep connections with teachers inform our work and that of our clients. Specifically, TLA can:
- Develop custom strategies to gain teacher/educator input
- Design specialized questions for surveys and interviews
- Leverage a teacher panel or conduct interviews to get detailed feedback
- Analyze the results to make recommendations
We’ve crafted surveys and used teacher panels to gain feedback from hundreds of teachers about their knowledge of brain science and learning. The resulting report, What Do Teachers Know About The Science of Learning?, received national media attention and became the subject of an online course for teachers through our non-profit sister organization, The Learning Agency Lab.
We led a project for the Paris-based Reboot Foundation that surveyed 500 teachers in the United States about their efforts to teach students critical thinking skills. TLA analyzed the results in a report that found that teachers harbor misconceptions about critical thinking and that media literacy is not being taught as widely as it should be. That report led to The Learning Agency empaneling a group of more than a dozen state teachers of the year to help Reboot draft its Teacher’s Guide to Critical Thinking.
The Learning Agency has deep relationships and networks with data scientists and learning engineers who can help you make sense of your survey, poll, or focus group results.
